Nylon flags such as this offer a more durable option to the usual 70 denier polyester
The flag is usually called the Union flag and only becomes a Jack when at sea , but we all call it the Union jack anyway .
Make sure you fly it the right way up, as you look at the image , and imagine the pole is to the left , the thick white line should be uppermost , if the thin line is at the top then the flag is upside down and you could be considered to be in dire distress , which was useful in seafaring days
We recommend using two flag bungees to attach to a telescopic flag pole ( not included )
